September 22: Students are to prepare individual plans and scripts for a podcast on a book they are reading or have read for their Reading Class. Students are free to use whatever format they choose (i.e. book talk, skit, author interview, etc….). This podcast needs to be ready to record by Friday.

September 15: Students are to work with each other in groups according to their Social Studies teacher to create a podcast script based on what they are learning in their class.

September 12: Create a blog post using one of your classes and do the following: 1. Insert a link to a website relating to the subject. 2. Insert a picture relating to the subject you have chosen. Finally, find a video that is about the subject and insert a link to it. (30 points) Due September 19.

September 11: Write a blog post about your experiences on September 11, 2001. Explain where you were. What were you doing when you heard about the attack? What did you do after hearing about the attack? What were thoughts do you remember having at the time? If you were too young then what does 9/11 mean (do some research and talk to some people). (40 Points) Due September 19

September 9: Write a blog post on the following: 1. Explain how you use the Internet. What sites do you visit? What is your purpose for surfing the Internet? 2. Explain why you want to take this course. 3. What do you hope to learn from this course? 4. What do you plan on doing with the knowledge and skills gained from this course? (40 Points) Due September 19

September 3: Create a wiki page for each of your classes. In that page put a link to your teacher's website. You can find the websites here.

August 27th: Please send Mr. Woodring an e-mail to hemmsbulldogbarks@gmail.com. In the e-mail make sure to give me your name and the period you have Web Media so you can get credit for this assignment. This assignment is worth 20 points and is due August 28th.

August 27th: We had a problem with Google so we will have to do it this way. If you have the means at home create a Google or GMail Account. Please send an e-mail to Mr. Woodring when you complete this task. This assignment is worth 20 points and is due August 28th.

August 20th: Write an essay explaining the following: 1. Explain how you use the Internet. What sites do you visit? What is your purpose for surfing the Internet? 2. Explain why you want to take this course. 3. What do you hope to learn from this course? 4. What do you plan on doing with the knowledge and skills gained from this course? Each paragraph is worth 10 points for a total of 40 points for the essay. Due Thursday, August 21st.

August 19th: All students must turn in a copy of the school district's AUP and Course AUP before being allowed to operate any of the equipment. This is a graded assignment, each AUP is worth 20 points. Due Friday, August 22nd.
